Legend of Legaia (Sony PlayStation 1, 1999) | Used – Very Good

$69.99

Released in 1999 by Sony Computer Entertainment, “Legend of Legaia” is a role playing game for the Sony PlayStation. You can play as heroes Vahn, Noa, and Gala in their quest to save the world of Legaia from a sinister and evil mist. This mist twists and mutates all who come into contact with it. The heroes’ only hope is to seek out and revive the seven legendary Genesis trees. “Legend of Legaia” for the PSX is known for its dark atmosphere. At the start of the game, humanity is on the brink of extinction. The remaining humans are hiding from the mists and its monsters. A chance encounter with creatures known as the Ra-Seru makes the main characters impervious to the mists. With this power, they seek to restore humanity. This bleak setting doesn’t mean that the PSX version of this game is 100% serious, however; the game has plenty of humorous elements as the three main characters get themselves into some sticky situations.”Legend of Legaia” on the PlayStation uses a turn based battling system. You select the actions for your character and then watch them play out on the screen. However, “Legend of Legaia” on PSX adds a unique system to its turn based combat with the Tactical Arts system. In this RPG, you’ll be able to tell your characters exactly where to strike during a fight. For example, selecting Left will strike with the left fist. Selecting High will attack your opponent’s face. Stringing together moves in the Tactical Arts system will allow you to deal big damage during a fight. Also, some button combinations during a fight unleash special moves using your Ra-Seru. These moves could damage an entire group of enemies or heal your party. In this classic role playing game, your characters will grow in power and abilities as you defeat enemies in battle. Defeating powerful Seru bosses, such as the Juggernaut, will unlock new moves. There are many different weapons to use in Legaia with each one having unique properties. For example, heavy weapons will cause you to attack slower but with more power. Light weapons will allow you to strike fast but do less damage per hit. Matching the right weapon to a particular character will help ensure victory over your foes.”Legend of Legaia” pushed the PlayStation console to its limits in terms of graphics when it was originally released. This PSX title features 3D models with high-resolution textures. Characters show off a range of emotions on their faces, helping players get invested in the story. The music was composed by famous Japanese composer Michiru Ōshima. His previous works include “Ico,” “The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess,” and “Suikoden.””Legaia” is a unique game on the PSX that can stand out among role playing games due to its combat system. The game has a rating of E for Everyone. While the battles are challenging, they can be conquered by applying a different strategy or combo of moves. If you’re looking for a dark story with intense fighting, “Legend of Legaia” can provide an intriguing gaming experience.
