Based on Nickelodeon’s Blue’s Clues children’s television program, Blue’s 123 Time Activities is an educational game designed to help preschoolers sort and classify objects, learn simple math, hone their deductive reasoning skills, estimate weights, and match and sequence shapes and types of objects. The game begins with Steve, the host of the Blue’s Clues television show, and Blue, his inquisitive blue puppy with an insatiable desire to learn, greeting you at the Backyard Fair — a world of games and prizes. Once you’ve signed in and are inside the fair, you can choose from six different activities.
Shovel and Pail will invite you to play a game of Mother May I?, which involves using simple mathematical operations to count along a number line. Your job is to help Blue reach number 10 before her friend. At Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper’s Snack Stand, you must sort snacks, such as fruit and vegetables, according to their attributes. Tink’s Train Ride has you clicking on bins to add or take away building supplies from a moving train. Baby Bear’s Card Game involves matching cards that are of the same color or have the same number of shapes.
At Bell’s Souvenir Stand, you will step right up and estimate how much particular items weigh in comparison to one another so you can give the souvenirs to Blue’s friends when they make a request. In Felt Friend’s Pattern Parade, you must decorate floats for a parade by placing shapes in their proper patterns and sequences. After winning a game (or sometimes, just participating), you receive spending money called Blue Dollars, which you can use to buy prizes.
